The Physics of Flow
Comparing gym weights to a Mudgar is like comparing apples to hammers. It is all about LEVERAGE.
It's Not Weight, It's Torque
A Mudgar's weight is displaced away from the handle. The further the weight is from your grip, the heavier it feels. At full extension, a 5kg club can exert over 15kg of force on your shoulder stabilizers.
Grip & Stabilizers Fire First
In the gym, large muscles (Chest, Quads) do the work. With Mudgars, your small stabilizer muscles and grip strength are the limiting factors. They will fatigue much faster than your primary movers.

"But I bench 100kg... surely I need the heavy one?"
Gym strength is linear (up and down). Mudgar strength is rotational (circular). Being strong in one doesn't guarantee strength in the other. Use this conservative conversion chart to stay safe.

Advisory Note
This guide is a suggestion only. Every individual is unique. When in doubt, prioritize your current mobility and joint health over raw strength. It is always safer to start with a lighter weight to master the technique than to struggle with a weight that compromises your form. Please consult a physician before starting any new training regime.
